I'm sorry; in a word-association test, if "palmetto" came up, I'd have to say "bug."

Apparently, it's a cult classic (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0075666/).

These lurid pulp newspaper ads like these, the ones overselling shocking horror or unbelievable sexual titillation.. I seriously wonder who it was out there that looked at ads like this and made their plans for the evening back in the day. "Oh, that looks good. Call the babysitter, dear. There's some sensationalist filth we've gotta see."

I love that "Do you have the courage... to see it" line. Like someone is out there saying "Well, I don't want to see it but I don't want people thinking I'm a wimp or anything."

God, I remember ads for movies like this being in the newspaper when I was a kid, and they always freaked me out.
