Postum tastes like Postum.

I am so baffled by these cryptic ads lately!

I've had Postum before. It... tastes like Postum, that's for sure...

It's a coffee substitute. They dont make it anymore, so I dont suppose we will ever know what it tastes like. But it's a hot drink made from roasted grains. So I'm thinking it tastes like ass. ROFL

I like Postum! I'm still pissed off that I can't get it anymore. (I'm allergic to caffeine--can't even have decaf--so Postum was one of the closest things I could get to coffee.)

Every time I look at this, I think it says "Possum." My brain is sufficiently fried for the evening. Goodnight!

Lol Nice!

Though from my experience working with possums, percolating a possum might be quite painful for you lol

I love the elegant flowery language that, in essence, says that Postum tastes like crap!

Bah, remember once seeing that in the grocery store a few years before it was discontinued. I bought it not knowing what it was, then my grandmother told me it was a coffee substitute, used before they were able to decaffeinate coffee. Imagine the nastiest instant decaffeinated coffee you have ever tasted, add the taste of barley, you have Postum...

I was actually rather fond of Postum, especially when made with milk rather than water. I always put it more in the category with Ovaltine. I don't think I ever expected it to taste like coffee, so I wasn't disappointed. I kinda miss it.

Carob, on the other hand, was always presented to me as substitute for chocolate, so I've never liked it. On its own without prejudice or comparison, it might be pretty good, but I'm ruined for it now.

Yeah I liked Postum too, especially in the winter. I put cream & sugar in it & it was pretty good. But I didn't think it was coffee either.

I'm a chocoholic who ate a carob bar once. It's not awful, but it was rather interesting flavour-wise. Still, I wouldn't want to be stuck eating that for chocolate for the rest of my life.

they still have grain coffees, and I think they taste good! I like coffee and tea, and I also like grain coffee, and I don't expect any of them to taste like or sub for each other.
