Because woman's lib = women doing more and men doing exactly the same amount of work, and heaven forbid the woman cuts down on the housecleaning or something. Nooo...she has to bring home the bacon, fry it up in the pan and never let him forget he's a man.

Damn 70's commercials have a lot to answer for, in my opinion.

Seriously, I could use some of this shit. Being a modern female isn't easy.

They still make it, in other brands at least - I think this brand still exists too. Little harder to find, though.

"Not habit forming"? I think coffee drinkers (and other caffeinated beverage drinkers) the world over beg to differ.

Huh..

I actually find it kinda reassuring.

In order to function in the fast-paced "man's" world, a liberated woman had to "occasionally" take the equivalent of dehydrated coffee.

In order to live up to the ten zillion things a "good housewife" of the fifties and sixties was supposed to be able to handle without batting an eye, hundreds of thousands of women were hopped up on amphetamines seven days a week.

Speed's fun, but after a while it wears you out.

/tongue firmly in cheek about the relative lack of demands on the energies of liberated women

You'd be tired, too after working for 50% less than a man back in the day.
