Date: 2010-07-03 04:50 pm (UTC)In order to function in the fast-paced "man's" world, a liberated woman had to "occasionally" take the equivalent of dehydrated coffee.
In order to live up to the ten zillion things a "good housewife" of the fifties and sixties was supposed to be able to handle without batting an eye, hundreds of thousands of women were hopped up on amphetamines seven days a week.
Speed's fun, but after a while it wears you out.
/tongue firmly in cheek about the relative lack of demands on the energies of liberated women
