Whoa, that explains something that was bugging me. A male friend I knew in the '80s had one of these in his living room and the roses looked suspiciously waxy. I'm guessing his had fake roses in it? I like how they throw in the "rejuvenating chemical if it becomes necessary" bit-- his snowless snowglobe o'roses was dull and had scratches on its surface. I have no idea where it came from, if it was something he got to fifties up his house or if it belonged to the landlady.

I've seen them with orange roses inside made of material...like you can buy in Kmart...
