All the airlines used to. And many international carriers still do.
Somewhere I have a Pan Am shotglass. Or at least, I sure hope I still have it. Back when you got crystal drinkware and actual metal utensils, with real china.
Air Singapore still gives out nice little kits with socks, toothpaste, toothbrush, etc to the econo class. Not sure what they give to the high class flyers.
Heehee... I remember in 2003 having a flight attendant telling me she thought my Pentax Spotmatic (http://www.photoethnography.com/ClassicCameras/AsahiPentaxSpotmaticSPII.html) might screw with the avionics during landing.... while practically shouting to be heard over the dumbstick on the other side of the aisle with the horribly loud portable DVD player. I just told her it was all mechanical (since it indeed is).
