Just scrolling through quickly, I thought that was a tombstone and her glove a funeral lily. "A personalized Xmas gift remembered the year 'round" indeed!

OT, but I simply adore your icon. Hyacinth and her constant quest for decorum!

We had one of those--it just said "Welcome" on it, though. The "rubber scraping fingers" broke off after a while. I suppose the rubber degraded or whatever.

"It's work"...that's how I think of the kinds of things. At least they were doing something.

We had one of those, with our surname on it, for years. In Garden Green. I never knew where it came from. This is the first ad I've seen for them.

All the rubber fingers broke off, over the years, but my grandfolks kept it there for decades.

Because nothing says Christmas like a doormat with your name on it. Really shows what the giver thinks of you.

We had a doormat that said "GO AWAY" at the time Mom & Dad visited us. Mom was not too awfully far gone at that time, but her memory was shot, so every couple of minutes, she'd see it, squint at it, read it to herself, and pronounce that she didn't like it.

I think I'd be happy with one that says "EVE ARDEN." It just has a nice ring to it.

I love the passive-aggressive idea of ordering your friend's name for a doormat. Wicked comedy there. They'll be delighted!
