Whirling spray in MY vagina?

Apparently it is more likely than I would have thought.

Erm... whirling and suctioning? Is this a "marital aide" or a douche device?

Sounds to me like something that would "clear unwanted blockages".

Awesome! Another example of birth control devices from years past. *clips this for use in the classroom.*

I've never been so terrified of the word 'whirling'.

Sounds like those Lysol douche (http://americanhistory.suite101.com/article.cfm/douche_with_lysol_for_feminine_hygiene) ads:

i'd say! i think the last time a douche ad was posted on here, the resident women's history scholars pointed out that most douche ads are actually ads for at-home abortion methods and devices. which had us going "oh WAIT. so THAT'S why women used LYSOL down there."

this ad is surprisingly blatant, what with the suction and instant cleansing and illustrated book of directions. holy hell.

Amazing how they could use the word "vaginal" in 1902.
