They don't seem to be enjoying life very much.

I know. If they enjoyed themselves much more, a funeral might break out.

"Honey, is the house too orange?"

"It's beer-colored, and shut up."

He kinda looks like he could be her father.

What's she going to do with all of the carrot scrapings? Messy.

Isn't it odd that they can afford beer but not a couch?

or even a table next to the chair for him to set his beer on...how does he easily turn the magazine pages with the beer glass in his hand?

agreed...it looks smaller has more of a curve than the other numbers.....i think when the clock strikes 7 something mystical and magical happens....

I think it's an upside down 2. Since they can't afford a couch, it would be too much to ask for them to afford a new 7 if the old one falls off. 2's must be cheaper. :P

Hee hee! I'm also now fascinated by the fact that the floor and the wall are seemingly continuous. None of those fancy, store-bought walls and floors that join for them.

My great-grandmother had an old clock and the 7 was like that while all the rest of the numbers were normal. Must have been ~trendy~ or something.

my parents have two different regulator clocks that both have sevens like that. i specifically remember contemplating why they were so weird, if they were upside-down twos, etc., but i never conceived of a solution. even today google appears to be failing me.

This would be a very convincing ad today. Just run it in Maxim and BAM, riots.

Ah. A beer in your hand and your wife on the floor beside you like a loyal collie. Only better! Because she can suck you off from down there and then return to her chores.

Some household. The wife doesn't even rate a chair of her own.

Does it say "What Makes The Pie Shops Tick" in very tiny print at the very bottom of the ad?

Ah the good old days, when women knew their place: Sitting on the floor peeling carrots while the man of the house drank beer and contemplated his left knee.
