No, one lemon in a bath full of water will likely be diluted enough to keep from being irritating.

true, but it looks like there is more than one lemon in that bath.....

Yes, that might not be comfortable. I don't know how many lemons would be too many lemons...

yeah, they don't really say....i know lemons have an astringent property and are good for a face wash....but in a bath? and that water in the tub there looks pretty lemon juicy.....

I was just thinking about how I always come away with little scratches after playing with my cat. Lemon bath after that? No. No, thank you.

Wouldn't that leave your skin feeling all dry and tight? It would smell awesome, but I don't think it would really be all that great for your skin.

it's not any more astringent than bath salts; it's not battery acid, just a lemon in 15 gallons of water. The aromatherapy value and the lemon oil outweigh any worries.

Seriously. As someone who has actually done this (yeah, maybe it's weird, but it smells good :p), it's not irritating, or overly-drying, even to someone with already dry skin.

I love love love a bath like this. It's cheaper and less drain-clogging than a Lush bath bomb. My skin's oily and zitty and I tend to itch when the temperature's above 70 F so this is heaven.

15 gallons? that's a small bath! I fill my tub almost to the top! :)

So this is what you're supposed to do when life hands you lemons?

My dad would have been worried about a lemon slice, or the pulp, somehow plugging up the drain ("What the hell do you wanna do that for anyway?"), especially in light of the fact that I purposely stopped up the bathroom sink drain with (clean) toilet paper when I was around eight or so. I don't know why I did it, either, except it was an experiment of some sort...

Maybe you wanted to see if it could go down -any- pipe as opposed to just the toilet pipe?

That's all I can think of.

LOL! I think I was doing some sort of "commercial" about how you didn't need a rubber stopper to hold water in the sink or some such nonsense like little kids dream up--I do remember thinking, "Oh, I'll just keep pushing it down the drain and everything will be OK." Famous last words.

Your dad sounds like my father-in-law. He's always whining about how the fact that my husband (his son, mind you) and I have long hair, and that clogs up the bathtub. I swear, he's like a liberal Hank Hill.

YES! My dad would take a wooden spoon and use the handle (oh, this went over so well with mom) to clean loose hair out of the tub drain when I lived at home. It was a great day for him when that Mr. Plumber stuff for slow drains was invented. He always had a bottle under the sink.
