The strawberry soda actually sounds good to me.

The chocolate one really, really doesn't.

Strawberry lemon = tasty. chocolate lemon = not so much

Surprising, chocolate sprite tastes more like fizzy chocolate. Hardly a hint of lemon. Sprite floats were a favorite of mine growing up.

Floats made from chocolate ice cream and 7 up is actually surprisingly nice!

Yesss. I saw this ad and went "omg want".

I guess I know what I'm getting after lunch tomorrow. (Actually, the cherry limeades I get at Sonic seem like a similar flavor, but without the thickness of ice cream. HMMM.)

PS: I now have a strawberry-and-7UP float and it is delicious. Also, I had totally forgotten that this is how you make punch for the punch bowl at school dances, baby showers, and afternoon garden weddings. Mmmmmmmm

I once had punch made with lime sherbet and 7-up. That was yummy.

I make 7-up floats with raspberry sherbet. Also good: ginger ale and raspberry sherbet.

I also think it's the tastiest-sounding one of the bunch. Mmmm, pistachio ice cream...

I tried a scoop just now when I got my strawberry float, and I feel that I have to disagree with you. Nuts in an ice cream float? That's so weird. :/ (Also, I found the pistachio nuts to be kind of bitter. I'd never had a pistachio nut OR pistachio ice cream before today.)

(yes, this means that this ad in this post inspired me to try something I would never have thought to try before. I don't know if this is a delayed success or not for a 50-year-old advertisement.)

Yeah, pistachio is kind of an acquired taste. I like nuts in about anything, but I can see how some might not want them in their drinks. =D

Frigging love pistachioes. Though soda floats are something I've never been fond of. Hurts my teeth to no end when I drink them.

"You like it...it likes you?"

Reading this ad makes me want to go make floats. Unfortunately, it's about 4:30 am where I live. Maybe on the weekend I'll go buy vanilla ice cream and soda and make my kid a float. I might even get a couple different sodas and rainbow sherbet also, just to see how the different flavors go together. See, this ad inspired me! :)
