Yeah, I was going to mention that Eleganza seemed to morph into a pimp-style label in the 70s:

And young folks think 70s styles are cool. Having been a shy adolescent who wanted to be as invisible and non-dorky as possible in 1972, I can tell you this triggers some ugly flashbacks >:\

IIRC, huge bell bottoms with a ... STAR embroidered on the back seat. I think they were fairly adrogynous? I lived up in the backwaters of northern minnesota, and was in grade school during the 70s, but I remember the cool kids/neighbors having them.

If it wasn't located in the US, I'd be inclined to think that Gerry and Sylvia Anderson were behind the company.

The only thing that collar would be good for would be tying it in a knot to choke the life out of anyone who would wear that!

That's a summary execution order from the fashion police of *any* era.

More than a collar, it's a handy "wanker yanker". Official hooligans and unofficial fashion police of all kinds could use it to demonstrate their opinions and cast their "no" votes with full emphasis.
