When I googled "Tangee", the Vermont Country Store listing was the second thing that came up: the first was this (http://www.clevelandwomen.com/times/amyklipstick.htm).
I'm guessing this is one of those magic lipsticks that turns the exact same shade of bright pink on anyone? Smaashbox makes a high end version, but I don't think even that was very well reviewed.
I think I'll hold off on ordering one, then :) Anyway, this autumn (New Zealand time) is supposed to be all about berry colours, and I have a nice blackberryish lipstick to be going on with.
I ended up getting some Tangee lipstick after seeing it so often in vintage ads as well as the Vermont Country Store. It's quite bright, so the "not painted" thing is not really true. It it certainly doesn't smear, so that's nice!
