Crazy prices back then. Ad is large as to not lose detail. Click on thumbnail to view full size image. They had a HP inkjet printer for $900 bucks, equal to $1359 today! what a deal! plus more insanity.

Back then, inkjets were bleeding edge tech: Most printers still used ribbons. So the price, while still ridiculous, is still explainable.

And, OH do I remember those days of Windows or DOS versions! Not fondly, mind you...

I remember their precursor, the bubble jet printer. God, they were AWFUL. I bought my first laser printer in 87 - it was an NEC postscript model and cost $6800 - $1300 more than a brand new Pontiac Firefly.
