Guess what I found? It's a tale of horror and humiliation!

Maybe it's just me, but I'm not sure whether I'd really feel comfortable in a company that was that interested in my rectal problems. But I digress...

"Wait," I thought! I've seen something like this before! Posted on this very group!

Yes, it appears that Scott Tissues devoted an entire campaign to educating us on all the unspeakable things that could happen to us if we used any toilet paper that was not actually Scott Tissues.

This ad was posted a while back, by [livejournal.com profile] sienamystic and I wish I could credit the poster but I just can't find them!

A sad case indeed.

But wait, there's more!

This was posted a few months back by yours truly!

So there you go, people. Use Scott Tissues or end up bedridden, uneducated and forced to tell your boss about your ass operation.

And don't say they didn't warn you!

Heh, I posted the bedridden woman one - http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4025/4322687998_e8d37bec81_b.jpg -it became a moment of INTERNET FAME for me because it got linked to Jezebel. (My Flickr account is one of the nice quiet backwaters of the internet!)

I think I just bought (or maybe just saw) another, earlier ad in the series, showing a MICROSCOPE VIEW of those splinters causing all the evil. Scientific proof!

What could they be wiping with? Sandpaper?

Leave men to their own devices and they'll wipe with steel wool, and venomous snakes. Than God for women and ads like this!

My dad remembered Sears catalog pages being used in the '20s and '30s, he rarely saw toilet paper unless he went somewhere "fancy".

This is too funny! And our family has been using Scott Tissues for years.
