Hey all, on the lookout for print ads, and I found something that just made my heart sink. Yeah, we are talking about 1855 here, and the treatment of black people was, well, different then it is now, but this is just truly heartbreaking, and an important reminder of times gone past..

racism and opression have been linked from time immemorial. Do not try to sweeten it up unless you are willing to take responsibility. Otherwise you become an apoogist for the most dismal failures of humanity.

Sometimes people want to apologize on behalf of someone else.

Sometimes people just need to hear an apology.

why apologize to blacks?

when native americans are still being treated like second class citizens in the USA?
Blacks sold blacks into slavery, whites just happened to be one of the buyers. It would be better that you are sorry for Andrew Jackson who had his soldiers skin alive natives, or Custer who thrived on killing the old in villages.
Slavery did not last very long, the suffering of ndns is still going on.

I disagree! Why do you say that? I just imported it into Photoshop and the coloration on the image is consistent with that of print; that is the black (no pun intended, LOL! J/K, LOL!) ink is inconsistent with itself.
