The prices are hard to make out, but they seem to run from $25 to $60 -- at a time when a gallon of gasoline cost a quarter, a new Ford car from $1500 to $3000, and a loaf of bread about twenty cents. Consumer electronics, in fact, is the only category I can think of where the prices consistently come down as the quality and capacity goes up.
