good ad .....and of course in 1952 what else was on tv? there was a few shows but tvs weren't hadn't quite caught on yet....just about to catch on though.....

i do love the tv cabinet....

My parents bought their first tv in 1952, the year I was born. It was an RCA and we had that thing until I was nearly out of high school. :-)

The conventions are far from boring to a great many people...and back then before the mind-erasing garbage that we have now to watch, it was definitely the most exciting thing to see.

Some TV's last these days..I purchased a 27-inch Sony in 1997, and it still works great (it's just about obsolete, but still works...)
