From June 1962 "Motion Picture" magazine. One has to wonder what exactly is in that chemical pad.
Also, there is apparently a rumor that Liz Taylor and Richard Burton have something going on on the set of Cleopatra, but I don't believe it.

Date: 2009-09-28 02:29 am (UTC)My Aunt Bette used to walk around the house with a 'throat lifter' on. She'd soak a pad with some gooey stuff from a tube (she said it was 'Hormone Cream') then held it in place with thing that tied around the base of her neck on one end and hooked over her ears on the other. She swore it tightened everything up, but my mother would laugh and tell me she really looked the same. =)
My father would say 'Everyday is Halloween with Bette'.
