Interestingly, in the painting this dog/victrola image is based on both dog and victrola are sitting atop the master's coffin. I guess that doesn't make for terribly appealing marketing though.

Wow, never made the link between Victor, HMV and JVC... Doesn't help that HMV Canada doesn't use the Nipper logo (they do in the UK).

this is the dog mentioned several times in the 2nd book of Stephen King's "Dark Tower"

Eddie Dean was compared to this dog in a way how he was listening to the voices in his head :)
