Check out the midcentury modern architecture in the background. Kind of hard to believe when that architecture was hot and new, the cars looked like this. I suppose it's Moderne and aerodynamic...or something.
Those first automatic transmissions were nightmares...It's amazing how they differed in design from carmaker to carmaker as they were trying to sort the practical functional design out.
