oh my. look at that family. can you still get this stuff? I'm working as an au pair and I'd love to have this in the morning as well as give to my host children. Then maybe it'd be less stressfull to get them out of bed (and not have to worry about gruminess or so) and dress them, give them breakfast and then go to school.
Yes! You can totally still get Sunsweet prunes. They are sweet and yummy. I don't know about GO but I like 'em. Also, you can get them in little individual packs for lunchboxes and snacks through the day. I try to remember to always have a few prunes in my handbag. I don't care if I am an old lady, if I get tired and need some energy they are PERFECT.
Yep - love them! "Dried plums" the marketers call them now...whatev. Pass them over...
Oh, honey, the environmentalist in me just has to jump in and say - don't buy the individually-wrapped prunes! You can buy in bulk/larger packages (saving money; I'm cheap as well as pro-environment); just put a few in a little ziplock snack baggie (which you can use many times before it wears out).
Another reason to eschew the wrapped singles: I always want two or three!
I'm confused...why the heck do they need cooking for 40 minutes? They're awesome right outta the box.
Actually, I've been using a small plastic box with clicky locks on the sides. I think people in the past just didn't always trust fruit that wasn't cooked. The obsession with digestibility and some received wisdom that it was more digestible that way, perhaps?
