Vintage Ads Rule Post + Tags + An Ad!
Aug. 16th, 2009 06:06 pmTime to do a rules post. The Vintage Ads Rules are on the profile page, but we are introducing a new one. That would be #7.
1. All posts must include a vintage ad.
No text only posts. No posts looking for old ads. No posts looking for other communities, etc.
2. No commercial posts of any kind.3. All ads must be original, complete & vintage.
No ads that are just pictures unless that is the complete ad. No modern ads that are made to look like vintage ads. This is an ad community, not a picture community.
4. LJ-cuts are at the poster’s discretion, but NSFW ads should always be under a cut with a suitable warning.
Also, if you’re posting a really big ad, (over 800px wide) having it under a cut would be appreciated by some.
5. Multiple ads, (5 or more) should be under a cut & limited to 20 per post.
6. No hotlinking
Use your own picture hosting site to upload the ads.
7. If a member of Vintage Ads has a problem, complaint, or suggestion, please contact
misstiajournal or
tanwen directly and do not post it as a comment.
This covers request for an ad to be resized, please contact us, and we will determine if it should be resized.
___________
There have been some frequent situations where a commenter will demand, ask, or suggestion a poster either change a size of an ad or put it behind a cut. No commenter should do that, unless the ad is NSFW (please posters always put a NSFW ad behind a cut!). There have also been some posts where it is just a photograph and no ad. All posts must have an ad! And please let us know if you feel an ad is a recent repeat instead of posting a comment. Some members are new and have not gone back in the recent posts. Please let us handle that.
____________
Tags: Some posters have requested tags,
tanwen has checked and there are pre-created tags available to use. If you have any problems using them, please let us know. Tags are strictly voluntary and you are not required to use them.
And since all post have an ad (and yes this post has a lot of words, but it is a rules post), here's a youtube ad!
