Nay, you spelled it right (and I'm not a fan either). Avril's a nice old French name, it's their version of April. I think it's safe to use.

I would totally wear these! The long one reminds me of the Lanz flannels, including the chokey peter pan collar. I'm pretty sure you can still get those.

The short one would actually look great with tights and pumps, in my opinion. I'd ditch the adult-baby pigtails though :(
