When I first started collecting these things around six years ago or so, I wanted to try to get everything that Richard Bakalyan was in since I'd read the article in 'Incredibly Strange Films' and although I can't figure out how I recognized him, I did and it must have been from movies on television and the Disney type stuff he did. He is the 'face' of juvenile delinquency films for sure. Anyway, it was like a little goal of mine and although he's never really featured on the poster artwork I did do a good job and now these posters tend to be more desirable and/or valuable so it was a good time to score, I suppose. The 50s are famous in the movie poster world as the great era of sci-fi artwork and while this is true, some of us (me) prefer to see it as the great age of juvenile delinquency and the birth of American International Pictures and films being marketed towards youth. The artwork is just as outstanding for these pieces as some of the sci-fi ones we've been seeing here lately. It also seems, from these posters, that it's mainly girls that are the problem!

Here he is on the far right side of the poster.

Here's Richard at the bottom...smoking, of course.

Man, these kids and their 'kicks'. Sure, go on crazy joyrides, join sororities, get all the 'kicks' you want. But you better damn well settle down and pop out some kids by the time you're 21. And what's this 'Naturevision' half were filmed in? Sounds vaguely commie to me.

Dagnabbit, someone took my future b-movie title, 'From Hell to Eternity'.

Wow, that's awesome!

One question. What city is Sin City? A lot of films of the 50's mention it. It's either Las Vegas or Los Angeles (I'm leaning for LA) but I'm not to sure.

I actually have a few of those framed in my hallway. I love deliquency movies, especially ones centred on hot rods.

I don't collect them, I just bought them over a span of 5 or so years as they'd turn up and framed them, and stopped when my walls were full. :)

Unfortunately my Hot Rod Rumble is a repro, until such a time as I find an original.

From the poster, it looks like "Hot Car Girl" ain't gonna make it to the Piggly Wiggly.
