Gee, I can't imagine why that look never caught on.

Really, even if I had a super amazing body, I don't think I'd want to run around in a tight terry jumpsuit, especially with a hood on it. The guy in the pic looks kinda like he's not enjoying it all that much. He looks like either an attendant at the employee gym belonging to some Bond supervillain, or a member of a very fitness conscious religious cult.

Indeed, they were. There's a bit of history that can be dug up in Google about them; I guess they were a big deal in their day. I just remember the name as sort of a joke in late 80s West Hollywood clubs, a la What Not To Wear.
