My husband is a sound designer for theatre. Several years ago he borrowed one of these grinders from props to create a sound effect. I ran some chicken through it while he recorded. He took the sound, manipulated it, and added organ grinder music. It was quite the creepiest sound ever. I'll never be able to look at one of these grinders in quite the same light again!
