Yes, I recall that movie. Korea had a lot in common with WWI. After the first year of movement in 1950, the war settled into a sort of trench warfare with a no-man's land and every foot of ground paid for dearly. Many hills were taken and retaken multiple times while the peace talks in Panmunjom dragged on for two years. I can understand why Hawkeye snapped in an episode of M*A*S*H* and drove up there to chew everybody out!
