vintageadsget your vote in for our weekend theme!!! on this post here please!!!! i'll post later later today what our weekend theme will be!!!
also, this came about in the comments on that post, what do you all think about an ongoing through the summer 'vintage ads based story'? we'd do it one day a week through like labor day---we'd set the days in advance, i think one day a week, different days....i'd post for suggestions for an opening sentence (the beginning of our 'story' would of COURSE be the ad with our patron saints ;) and then we'd vote on the opening sentence and then i'd post that on day 1 of our 'story day'.....
for example, say our opening sentence was 'it was a dark and stormy night and hall & oates left their fiero parked on a side street and then went to...' then the NEXT person who would continue the story, would post an ad related to a locale, etc, say an ad for an airline completing the sentencing '...TWA to buy a round ticket to a tropical location.' then then NEXT person who wanted to play, would post an ad for a tropical location and start a sentence......
did i explain that well?? we'd have to put 'story' in the subject and i'd have to ensure everything was tagged 'story 1'.....but i think this could be fun.....something silly and fun to do over the summer.....
