weekend event.....world wonder....

misstiaGoodyear 1946 ad....there's a BLIMP!!!!!!!!!!!! in the ad and Goodyear Blimps are a world wonder to me--and many others! Scary thought, but there are other blimpologists who think the Goodyear blimp is magical. Blimpologists only consider Goodyear blimps BLIMPS, any other is an 'imposter'. No, I have no idea why. I'm not from Akron, and I'm about the last person who'd have 'home town pride'---though I have land of misfit toys pride (my neighborhood!). There's just something about the Goodyear blimp.
Last Saturday the newest one took it's first flight. I went to the Goodyear World HQs but it didn't fly over there, it stayed in the area of Wingfoot Park in Suffield but I SAW IT!!! And it's just a fantastic feeling knowing there's THE blimp back in the sky! We don't get our own Akron blimp until NEXT year. We've had a few years of blimp drought!
