Totally forgot today was Movie Trailer Monday, hah. I like a lot of old movies, so I'll probably be posting a lot today :p

OKAY SO the first trailer I was GOING to post was the 1962 version of The Miracle Worker, which is my favorite movie of all time, but YouTube doesn't seem to have it. They do have the 1979 trailer but I didn't want that one. So, I'm posting this one instead. I love this movie so much.

[identity profile] mystical-chickn.livejournal.com
Once again I am required to post my second choice of movie trailer, as my first was, apparently, unavailable. (It was Paper Moon from 1973.) YouTube, I am disappoint. :(

Another all-time favorite. The book is awesome, as well.

(This is a long-ass trailer, too.)

Okay, last one for now. This is one of my top three favorite Disney films. (The other two, Beauty And The Beast and The Lion King, are too new to post here) This came out when I was ten years old, and after I saw it, for years afterward I was obsessed with somehow having red hair.

Even if you come across an un-dubbed version, just sit back, relax, enjoy the silly slapstick humour and think of summers past.

i saw this movie at a drive in when i was 3, THREE! never ever show this movie to a 3 year old! i am terrified of semis on high ways next to my car TO THIS DAY! i freak out if a semi is behind me or on the sides of me and i gotta get away from them!!! 38 years later this movie is still messing with my mind!

This is my favorite movie trailer, ever. Viva la grindhouse!

Sharing is Caring!

If I could find the trailers I'd subject you to the Care Bear's Nutcracker movie, their Wonderland movie, and the sequel.

Epic film by Alan Parker that started electronica and EDM.

AKA that Italian Star Wars ripoff with David Hasselhoff as Princess Leia.

I was 5 or 6 and i used to run over to the television and turn this trailer off as fast as I could! It spooked me, and how.

a few words about The Party..

My Mom and Dad saw the mobie when my Mom was heavily pregnant with me. My Mom said she laughed so hard she was afraid she was going to lose me.

I'd like to think that somehow influenced my development.
[identity profile] mystical-chickn.livejournal.com
I was pretty much obsessed with this movie as a kid. Still one of, yep, my all-time favorites.

I need this on DVD, seriously.

i remember seeing this trailer thinking it was about the most frightening thing ever! it still gives me goose bumps watching this trailer!

two jodie foster trailers behind the cut )
[identity profile] mystical-chickn.livejournal.com
I forget what year this is actually from, but I'm guessing early- to mid-'60s. Never actually seen this, but I've seen this trailer many times on Something Weird On Demand.

Red's singing voice always makes me sporfle.
[identity profile] mystical-chickn.livejournal.com
I don't remember seeing this posted already. I absolutely love this movie, but oddly enough, I never saw it as a kid. I think I was about 25 when I first saw this, so it doesn't really have the OMG NOSTALGIA YAY factor for me.

Anecdote: my mom has a friend with an 11-year-old daughter, and they were over at our house for a week when said daughter was 8. (I love this kid.) We watched this together one night and she liked it a lot, and the next time I saw her a few weeks later, she told me "You know what? I've seen The Princess Bride TWICE now. :D :D" It was adorable.

movie trailer monday i think had the greatest participation of any day ever! wow!!!! movie trailer monday ends at midnight wherever you are today (monday)....

this isn't going to be an every monday thing, but the next time we do it, it would be appreciated by members if multiple trailers by one poster be put in just one post instead of multiple posts....i did that....i think i posted like 6....so next time i'd just put them all in one posts...i'll post a few days before we do this again as a heads up and to give a reminder about posting multiple trailers in one post....

someone in the comments suggested that with all this participation there should be a community for trailers....[livejournal.com profile] vintagetrailers is born!! [livejournal.com profile] vintage_recipes was another offshoot of vintage ads! someone else suggested there be a maiden form bra ad community....if someone makes one, feel free to link to that community with a maiden form bra ad!

thanks for the great trailers today!! so many of them i remember!
