That was such a trope on 60's TV shows- "Honey, I'm bringing the boss home for dinner with 4 other people. Whip up a feast and it better be good, don't shame me again darling,my promotion and our futures depend on this crucial meal. We'll be there in an hour. Don't let me down!"
