i'm trying to figure out the connection between corn on the cob and fruit vinegar to begin with, much LESS the casual racism there.

i mean..ANYONE can love corn on the cob! my dog does, for goodness sake!

Henry Louis Gates on his collection of racist memorabilia (http://www.theroot.com/views/should-blacks-collect-racist-memorabilia) and why he feels it's important to preserve the past. There's also a lot about how this imagery basically increased in the Jim Crow era.
