I *wish* bras were $1.50.
They still make Maidenform (I think they sell them at Target), I wonder how well they work.

Well, $2.50 in 1938 dollars is equivalent to about $38 in 2009 dollars. And looking around, I see Maidenform longline bras generally running $32 to $34 these days at department stores. I suppose the only thing that's surprising is that the offshoring of labor that's taken place hasn't resulted in a price reduction.
