Rockwell's traveling companion here is probably his second wife, Mary Barstow, who passed away rather suddenly a few years later in 1959. Her hairstyle seems very similar to this sketch of Barstow from the archives at Wheaton College. http://recollections.liblog.wheaton.edu/2008/11/14/rockwell-at-wheaton/

What a truly wonderful ad. The urge is there to closely examine every little scene for the details. It would make a gorgeous print for the wall too.
