I find it weird that a candy cane ,
most commonly associated with the winter
, would be wearing a straw hat,
a summer item
.
May 15 is straw hat day. That was traditionally the day men hung up there felts, and wore their straw hats.

Maybe they're trying to promote that you can have your peppermint during the summer and it not be just a winter thing! Or something like that? I know I'm trying to make a point here, but I'm not sure if it's coming across. I just need to go to bed.
