probably an UNHOLY GROSS light brown. sorry, is that not unholy enough?
kitchen bouquet just makes things a darker, richer brown. it's like makeup for meat dishes.

This doesn't sound too bad - it's just a meat pie. But it looks disgusting!
Also, Betty Crocker looks like she's just had a bong hit.
Also also, I am intrigued by the pattern on the fabric of the server's sleeve.
Also also also, I used to make potholders like that in Brownies!

Dinner AND a sex lesson ("so the sperm attack the eggs and fertilize them, Johnny") - all for *ahem* .69 cents.
Seems appropriate.

I'd have made it with peas or green beans myself....LOL.
Not much difference between general purpose flour. But if Gold Medal didn't brand itself like this, how would they get you to pay more for it?

It looks like the lima beans are doing their damnedest to avoid getting any of the pie on themselves. They're suspiciously clean.

Only 69 cents... and hours of time. But what else does mom have to do?
Betty looks like she's been hitting the cooking sherry again.
