O-kay. Someone fails at colour theory. Yes, orange and blue are opposites. That does not mean a good bathroom they make. Also, if sea green is going to be balanced with a red, it needs to be a deep red, like a garnet, or even a rust. Pink walls with green toilet and res rug (and patio chair) makes me want to claw my eyes out.

We won't even discuss the mismatched puke green tiles with the slate blue fixtures.

I concur. I'll have nightmares.

it reminds me of the Flintstones.

The sink kind of makes me think of the one in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest

I thought the one with the patio chair was an outdoor Bathroom... If those Bathrooms are so modern where's the Mini-Bar?

Same counter, why separate sinks?

[identity profile] maereth.livejournal.com 2008-03-03 11:15 am (UTC)(link)
My parents have that in their bathroom, kind of a his and hers deal.

[identity profile] nokomarie.livejournal.com 2008-03-03 03:06 pm (UTC)(link)
So do mine, but they can't explain. At that rate, why not separate toilets?

I think the house came with it. They can get ready at the same time in the morning and not get in each other's way. I think it's pretty handy when you're on the same schedule and you don't have to wait for the Mr. to finish shaving to brush your teeth and do your make up.

Having a bigger bathroom is handy, yes.

Holy crap! My eyes! This belongs under the heading of, "Just because you CAN, does NOT mean you SHOULD."

proving once again that something is very wrong with me... I would love the marble monstrosity bathroom, minus the red carpet that is.

[identity profile] nokomarie.livejournal.com 2008-03-03 03:08 pm (UTC)(link)
And all those sharp, pointy, edges?

[identity profile] kartusch.livejournal.com 2008-03-03 05:38 pm (UTC)(link)
You know I was so blinded by the awesome tackiness I did not notice that. As klutzy as I am that bathroom is a murder ("no really it was an accident, I swear") scene waiting to happen.

[identity profile] kartusch.livejournal.com 2008-03-03 05:39 pm (UTC)(link)
oh and forgot...

Now the red carpet makes perfect sense.

[identity profile] renn.livejournal.com 2008-03-03 02:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow, now I know that my bathroom fixtures are original to the house. Eep.

[identity profile] nokomarie.livejournal.com 2008-03-03 03:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Cool.

[identity profile] salenelle.livejournal.com 2008-03-03 08:26 pm (UTC)(link)
marble, green, red carpet oh, the horror - If I stepped into a house I was looking to buy and the bathroom was set up like that AND I bought it, I'd not change the bathroom for a while, and I'd laugh every time I went in there. I mean, it's so BAD, it's got to be preserved!

You know what it needs? It needs an oil-rain statue. You know what I'm talking about, those statue/fountains with the female figure in its center, and a spiral of oil rain falls all about it down plastic strings that around the statue... Italians will know what I'm on about.
