Mine is adopted, so he's sort of on his own, but he turned out pretty tall anyhow - sort of funny, since he's Japanese. Maybe I just fed him well.

I'm glad that she has a stalwart male figure in her life - that's so important.

gods bless all parents, no matter how they got their kids. :)

our nephew is adopted also, and we think he's nearly his hit full height at almost 17...he's maybe 5'6". amerindian and vietnamese, neither family wanted him. my SIL was thrilled to get him and mostly he's a good kid. (snarly and mean sometimes, which is Male Teen at this age LOL)

plus, the ex and i have nearly a dozen other kids who have called us mom2 and dad over the years, due to friends and former partners. one woman's kids still are in contact with the ex and still call him dad. and that makes me happy. :)

I just have the one and many students. I am considered Mum at the theatre to many of our actors, volunteers, and staff, so I guess they sort of count. Just as long as I don't have to start giving them allowances.

That is very cool that you have made a difference in so many lives. All I have now are cats, but that's okay, too.

mum of the theatre DEFINITELY counts. :) you've made a difference in those lives, too.

all i have going on at home now is one small service dog, but she thinks the sun rises and sets on her mama, so i know what you mean about your kitties. (that's us in the icon photo, although she's a bit greyer about the muzzle and my hair is about 6 inches longer lol)

Aw, how cute! My guys are my kids now, three inside and eight outside. It's funny because the minute they hear me coming they race out to see me. Pets have a way of making you feel so loved and needed (unlike actors, unless they are hungry or need to run lines!

humans have more things on their mind...animals get attached and it's love all the way.

It's true - never try to resist the attentions of a Russian Blue - they are love personified. He does not take no for an answer.
