They really had to go straight to child abuse / corporal punishment? What about:

- Like a clean rug, never beaten.
- Like a poached egg, never beaten.
- Like the Harlem Globetrotters, never beaten.
- Like a guy who can run away from a fight really quickly, never beaten.

On the other hand, I can think of much worse things to say than "good children"....
