I tried like 20x to post a video under the cut and finally gave up. Do you think some time you could walk me through the steps to post a vid? I've tried copy/pasting every url posted in the Embed thingy window on YouTube and zilch.
Needless to say, I won't try to post Movie Trailers tomorrow :) but I'll be here to comment.
do you get an error? what happens when you try? i'll make a video showing how.....that's probably the best way i could explain it.....i'll do it right now and post the link here right after i get it uploaded! hopefully you'll see it in time to be able to participate tomorrow! :)
I copy/paste the code into my window to post and click "Post to Branwynn" at the bottom... then I look at it after it posted and it's still just the code -no screen like you should see.
A few years ago (Probably before the Russians took over LJ) YouTube had a clickable thingy, just like they do now for facebook, etc. and that's how I used to post vids, on the rare occasion that I did.
didn't take that long to make---took quite awhile waiting for youtube to finish 'processing' though.....
that must have been the problem? when lj changed the posting format it might have affected things when posting html code in the visual editor (people use to be able to post youtube code in visual editor).....just go to html editor when posting a video! :)
my son has traveled greyhound here in texas 3 times in the last year...
and OMG. the busses now have internet access. and electrical plug-ins to recharge your electronic toys. freaking amazing. of course they're still slower than all get-out, but you can get your toys recharged! heh.

I had been doing all your steps up till posting it in HTML... tried that and it seemed to work -or at least *I* see the video.
