In '61 they were *truly* terrifying! See those hats? That's where the teenage kid in the costume kept his entire head and shoulders, making the eyes of each character be at about nipple-height and the entire head was the size of a human torso. Each character costume's arms just dangled from it's side, like dead worms or over-cooked noodles flip-flapping any which way they chose. The only parts of these costumes designed to move were the legs and feet. Horror...
