The Pavilion on Post Oak (1991)

Tonight on TLC's I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant, Amy's 24-month undetected pregnancy comes to an abrupt, but unusually clean, end.

Orrrrrr . . . Tonight on episode 1 of TLC's  1 Kid and Counting, Michelle discovers that giving birth is really easy and she's never going to wear shoes again!

Ahaha, this cracked me up. Especially since I actually did see an episode of I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant where they baby landed in a shoe.

(That show scares me even though I am certain I will never be pregnant again...)

I like the top of that dress-thing though. Not so much the rest of it.

It really does look like that!

Palazzo pants is what they were called. I didn't have a pair either. I was wearing broomstick skirts instead.

Also, 1991? Those puffed sleeves scream "no later than 1988!"

Ah, that's true. I grew up outside of D.C., and always felt pretty sad for my Midwestern cousin when we'd go to the mall in my mom's Indiana hometown. Everything there was approximately two years behind what I was buying at Tyson's Corner (http://www.shoptysons.com/About).

This cracked me up, too, because SNL did a "Les Jeunes de Paris" sketch this weekend and Emma Stone basically had a baby the same way...

I dug it up; it's on Vimeo. :D

What's weird is, I went through what was supposed to be the full episode on NBC.com (http://www.nbc.com/saturday-night-live/video/november-12-emma-stone/1368131/), and I cannot find that sketch! How freakishly weird. It's like they cut it out entirely. Why would they do that when it was apparently (judging by Google and YouTube) the most popular sketch of the night!?

They regularly don't include all the sketches. Sometimes it seems to be because of music rights issues, other times I can't discern why.

Dammit. I HATE when that happens!

Here's another one (on a French website, very appropriate!): http://www.wat.tv/video/snl-35otb_2exyv_.html

Don't ask me why, but NBC.com doesn't have this sketch, but they do have the full episode.

A+ commentary.
