The Addams Family (1991)

After all that scariness, I think it's time for something that the people in the film consider horrific, but what we consider good fun. And it just barely makes the vintage date cutoff!

BONUS! Teaser trailer!

I would love to be part of the Addams Family. They just love each other so much!

Morticia and Gomez are wonderful role models for a great marriage! They're just so in love with each other.

It always impressed me that while they considered 'normal' people to be odd, they still respected them, which is more than the 'normal' people did for them! Though to be fair, some of the Addams Family ideas are a little squicky. ;)

Same for the Munsters. Marilyn was the odd one and not considered attractive, yet they loved her and didn't make her feel inferior.

Lots of social commentary in these monster shows! :)

A tepid remake of a great TV series, further diminished by their insistence that "Gomez," "Morticia," "Lurch," "Wednesday," "Pugsley" and "Uncle Fester" were based on the New Yorker cartoons and not the TV show. I'd rather watch any five episodes of the show than see it again.

I must have seen Addams Family Values numerous times, but I do not recall watching the first movie at all. Huh.
