The scary  thing is that this is from an issue from the month I was born and I shudder to think that my mom, a new mother, thought I might need corn oil.

I supposed it could be worse. At least it's not high fructose corn syrup!

I take it they're drinking perfume? I guess it's supposed to be "Juicy." Yes, I would add that to the "what were they thinking" file, but then many a perfume ad belongs there.

Your explanation made this make more sense to me. I never did figure out wtf they were thinking with this ad by myself. We could do some great contests in February. . .

I get it that they want it to seem kind of a refreshing fragrance, or so.
But all I can think is how awful it would smell being splashed with perfume like that.

This was about how a friend of mine applied body sprays. So much that you could taste it when she walked past.

The text of the ad seems remarkably forward-thinking as well with all the discussion of saturated and unsaturated fats. I had no idea they cared about that in the 60s. It seemed like heart attacks were the mark of a hard-working, successful man back then.
