...have you ever noticed a peculiar odor? Sort of gluey... like horses' bones and hooves?

we never use gelatin but it seems to have been on of the major food groups back in the day.....

in fact I don't think I've EVER made it.....

so many horses, cows and goats gave up their lives for gelatin....LOL

This is hilarious.

I'm pretty sure they were giving up their lives for meat and leather first.

but her arms seem normal length....hmmm....maybe she was the scullery maid until the copper blew up and she lost her legs because they used some weird ointment on her that was suppose to cure everything and it did not....now she's the dessert cook because the family feels bad for her....

[identity profile] rosehiptea.livejournal.com 2010-08-15 12:23 am (UTC)(link)
My thoughts exactly.

[identity profile] koneko-wish.livejournal.com 2010-08-15 12:32 am (UTC)(link)
*gasp!* You mean they DIDN'T die JUST so we could have Jell-o for dessert?!

*stuffs fingers in her ears*

Lalalalalalalalala! I can't HEAR you! Lalalalalalalalalala!

*snarfs her orange juice* owies!

You speak nonsense.

The Horses hooves are clearly seen on the serving tray.

[personal profile] whoseline_wlsc 2010-08-15 02:27 am (UTC)(link)
I don't ever remember gelatin smelling gluey or anything like that. At least there's no random foods in it. Mmmm, cherry!

[identity profile] meezergal.livejournal.com 2010-08-15 02:29 am (UTC)(link)
Stopit! Stopit! Stopit!

WAAAAAH!!!!

That could then be jellied, of course. And yeah, I can totally picture a leather and mayonnaise salad, which means I've been in this community too long.

I hope you write fiction in your spare time! XD

*iz dying of laughter*

[identity profile] write-light.livejournal.com 2010-08-15 03:12 am (UTC)(link)
SMELL IT!

Yeah, that's a slogan to win'em over. And how stupid IS she - it says right on the box "ORDINARY GELATIN"! I bet it flies off the shelves when they get in the new shipment.

[identity profile] thebazu.livejournal.com 2010-08-15 03:56 am (UTC)(link)
yes! we must mask the natural odor of cow toenails and horse glue stat and replace it with artificial fruit scent! ahhhh, much better.

[identity profile] franklanguage.livejournal.com 2010-08-15 03:57 am (UTC)(link)
Remember that gelatin is boiled bones (http://www.buzzle.com/articles/what-is-gelatin-made-of.html) and naturally is going to have a distasteful smell.

[identity profile] seminarist.livejournal.com 2010-08-15 04:18 am (UTC)(link)
Actually pure, unflavored gelatin does not have much smell at all.

nah...i'm only inspired by ads sometimes! :)

[identity profile] poofy-boy.livejournal.com 2010-08-15 04:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Hah, when I saw this ad, I said to myself, "'Cause we all know what gelatine is made of, right? ...Fresh fruits, that's right."

[identity profile] poofy-boy.livejournal.com 2010-08-15 04:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Whenever I've made it, it's smelled pretty funky to me. Maybe I should just switch to agar-agar.

[identity profile] layelld.livejournal.com 2010-08-15 05:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Royal Gelatin is rushed to the stores via their "rapid delivery system"... where it will sit on a shelf for months before you actually buy it.

[identity profile] hootie-mcboobs.livejournal.com 2010-08-15 07:02 pm (UTC)(link)
I can't even see a left arm, the explosion must have got that too. Poor one-armed, no-legged gelatin-stirrer...

[identity profile] murakozi.livejournal.com 2010-08-16 01:03 pm (UTC)(link)
But she failed to put the pears and those green things *inside* the gelatin.

And I hope those green things are some sort of grapes or green cherries as opposed to olives or brussel sprouts.

[identity profile] donnalee-kiss.livejournal.com 2010-08-18 04:31 pm (UTC)(link)
LOL....yes we can all be happy the gelatin this time is unlaced with other produce.
