Now imagine the lawsuits that would hit a publication if it dared print anything so “aggressively heteronormative” as the above. Remember, there are more lawyers within the United States than are found in all the rest of the world combined. And they make a living - by filing lawsuits. (Why “frivolous lawsuit” is an American term, and invention.)

Even 'homemaker' ads (never “housewife”) show women looking like visitors in their own homes. When last did you see an ad showing a woman wearing an apron? They literally don't dare.
