Sunday Sampler: A Dozen FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT Ads + a Video

My favorite architect is Frank Lloyd Wright. Here's a Sunday Dozen of vintage Frank Lloyd Wright ads for you!

Let's start with this incredible and unexpected find - an ad for his Imperial Hotel in Tokyo, now no longer standing because - hey, it was old and took up space. /o\

"In 1967 Wright’s Imperial Hotel lobby and reflecting pool were moved to the Meiji-Mura (Meiji Village), a Japanese open-air architectural museum." LINK

Special baker's dozen video surprise: The Frank Lloyd Wright Trust has used 3D digital modeling and original plans, photos, etc. to recreate the entire Tokyo Imperial Hotel in a photo-realistic video both outside and INSIDE, including rooms, lighting, etc., as if you were there.  You have to see this to appreciate how wondrous it is to be inside a long-gone building.

VIDEO HERE YouTube - about 13 minutes total / set it to full screen view

Lincoln Logs - created by Frank's son John Lloyd Wright

They actually made these miniature houses for LIFE magazine (Wright's is #6) and I'm obsessed but unable to find any for sale.
