In honor of Ron Popeil's birthday, it's informercial, as seen on tv, 'but wait there's more!', etc day! Any ad in the vein of Ronco ads, and of course Ronco ads (natch).

Yes, I'm still working on our event calendar. Allergies are waging their yearly war against me.

Apologies if I missed it - I was at a comic expo for four days - but can be we have a day/contest/something for the founder of K-Tel? Apparently he passed away this past week.

K-tel event, excellent!! I don't think that would work for a contest; but a weekend event would be great fun!! I have quite a few K-tel records! I'll add that to the list of items to plop into the calendar! :D One thing about when I finally DO do the calendar, it'll probably be for a whole year!

I read about that last week and shoudl've thought to mention it here. The Washington Post obituary for him said he started out selling pelts n such in his youth.
