Here you see Mary Pickford in 1919 in a PSA/advertisement included at the start of some First National pictures, trying to get people to invest in War Savings Stamps. These are similar to the War Bonds of the 40s. Please note that she is twenty-seven years old in these images, which are still frames from the film.
